Catriona Kilgallon Divorce and Family LawyerThe Directors are pleased to announce that Catriona Kilgallon has joined the firm as a Consultant.

Catriona holds a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts. She completed a Master of Applied Law (Family Law) through the College of Law Australia in 2016 and is an Accredited Family Law Specialist. Since her admission in 2006, Catriona has worked primarily in family law and since 2008 has worked exclusively in family law.

Catriona advises and acts for clients in matters relating to children including suitable parenting arrangements and more complex matters such as relocations, recovery matters, domestic violence, child abuse, adoptions, and surrogacy arrangements. Catriona regularly provides advice in relation to property settlements (including complex matters involving businesses, trusts, self-managed superannuation funds, overseas assets, farming matters and international jurisdictions), spousal maintenance, child support and child support agreements.

Catriona is experienced in negotiating and mediation and has negotiated settlements in both parenting and property matters. When disputes are unable to be resolved by way of alternate dispute resolution, Catriona represents clients in Family Court proceedings. She has acted as counsel in many Family Court hearings and has appeared as either junior counsel or an instructor in trials in both the Family Court of Western Australia and the Full Court of the Family Court of Australia.

In the event parties are able to reach agreement regarding their parenting arrangements and/ or their financial matters, Catriona is highly experienced in formalizing such agreements by way of consent or binding financial agreements and assisting in the implementation of the Orders. Should the need arise, Catriona is also experienced in enforcing those agreements through the Family Court.

Catriona has been an active member of the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia for the last five years, and she was a member of Council from 2012 to 2014.
