Cross-examination ban for alleged perpetrators of domestic violence

Draft legislation has been released by the Federal Government that would protect victims of family violence from being questioned in court by their alleged attackers. According to an ABC news report, draft amendments to the Family Law Act would ban alleged attackers charged with violent offences from cross-examining their victims if they are representing themselves in court.
