On Sunday 12 June 2016 Carr and Co entered a team to compete in the Perth Marathon Relay.
This event runs alongside the blue ribbon individual marathon, albeit with 2 – 4 runners.
The team consisted of:
- Amanda Meloni, who ran the first leg of 5km;
- Isobel Hennessey, who ran the second leg of 11km;
- Natalie Barry, who ran the third leg of 10km; and
- Ben King, who ran the fourth and final leg of 16km.
The team finished in a competitive time of 3 hours 26 minutes, placing 24th out of 171 teams and 13th of 91 mixed teams.
In addition to completing the race distance some $4,000 has been raised for the Cancer Council of WA, far exceeding the initial goal of $2,000.
Carr and Co would like to thank all those who donated to a great cause, the organisers and volunteers of the Perth Marathon and all those who participated in the event to make it a great day out.
